What a privilege it was for me to have
the opportunity to do this project. I will
never forget being in the studio as these
tracks were recorded. Hearing the orchestrations
played for the first time - having the
music surround me as the musicians played,
I was overwhelmed and deeply grateful.
This music reflects my heart and my desire
to create stillness in the midst of the
day’s busyness. It’s an underscore for
my yearning to know Him as God and trust
Him as Creator and Finisher. I pray it
speaks to your heart as well. May it serve
as an accompaniment to your journey; an
invitation to be still and truly know Him. |
A NOTE FROM JAY: Because many
of these trax are quite rubato, with tempos
that are very free and because in places,
the orchestra is not playing at all - just
the piano, I have decided to retain a small
amount (at a lesser volume) of the original
piano on the trax. This is in an effort to
allow you, the live player to better "stay
with" the trax and in the end make the
trax more user friendly. The piano you hear
is at a reduced volume and when you play
the piano in live performance, it will more
than cover the piano on the trax.
I hope this makes sense to you. Please let
